What to expect during your comprehensive eye examination:

  • Thorough patient and family health history

  • Visual acuity measurement

  • Assessment of refractive status

  • Evaluation of eye movement abilities and peripheral vision

  • Measurement of eye pressure

  • Evaluation of external and internal ocular structures

  • Additional tests as needed

  • Adults ages 18 to 64 have an eye exam at least every 2 years

  • Adults 65 and older should have an eye exam at least every year
